Faith Formation Coordinator
Sacramental preparation for First Communion and First Reconciliation usually occurs for children while in 2nd grade. Our program is a combination of in-home study between parents and their child and periodic group gatherings at St. John's. These gatherings reinforce the learning objectives of the program while also building community and support among the children, parents and families.
Both parents and children have found this special approach to sacramental prep to be the most rewarding as it allows an opportunity for growth and bonding for parents and their child grow in faith and knowledge together!
Sacramental prep for First Communion and First Reconciliation usually begins in October and runs until April. First Reconciliation typically occurs in December and First Communion in April.
We are excited to offer families the Blessed curriculum, created by Dynamic Catholic:
“There’s never been anything like Blessed in the Catholic world for children. World-class animation. Workbooks that are works of art. Catechist-friendly leader guides. And incredible content that meets children where they are and leads them, step-by-step, to where God is calling them to be. Blessed isn’t just different, it’s groundbreaking.” – dynamiccatholic.com
