CLC

Small Group Faith Community
for High School Junior and Seniors
The Christian Life Community (CLC) is for older teens looking to grow deeper in a relationship with God and who want to make lifelong friendship. CLC has been going strong for the past year at SS Peter and Paul’s and now we’re expanding it to include St. John’s Youth! CLC meets weekly as a small, faith community based on Jesuit Spirituality. This group will also be in charge of running the confirmation retreats for St. John’s and SS Peter and Paul’s youth. There will be a kickoff BBQ late this summer, and meetings will begin in September.

J-Walking

Justice Learning and Living
for High School Juniors and Seniors
Short for Justice Walking, J-Walking implies “going against the flow.” This new program allows
older teens to learn, experience, and live as people of justice according to the Gospel and
Catholic Social Justice teaching. Members of J-Walking groups (7-12 people) will meet 12
times during the year to dialogue, reflect and experiment in Gospel Living using Catholic
Social Teaching and scripture as a guide. Six of the sessions will be held at a local social
service agency where members will get to know the agency and those who run it. Excited? We
are! J-Walking begins in September.

Lectors for Mass and members of TrueBlue. A training workshop for next fall will be
announced.

Liturgical Planning

The Liturgical Planners help to design and plan youth liturgies, prayer services, and
work with the parish Worship Committee. This is a great leadership opportunity for high school
youth. Youth will be able to use administrative and planning skills to enliven the faith
experiences of their peers. Training for this group will be in the fall.
