Dear Friends,

Welcome to St. John the Baptist Parish in Mankato, MN.  As faithful stewards, we believe that all of life is a gift from God.  We are committed to taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ out into the world. 

The vision of St. John's parish family professes to:

     ~ celebrate the sacraments well.  We root our lives in the Word of

        God and the Eucharist;

     ~ strive to extend hospitality to everyone who comes to the parish.

       We accept everyone where they are in life, with the hope of

       offering a life based on Jesus Christ;

     ~ accept the call to good stewardship by supporting the parish

        financially, giving time in ministry and sharing our talents to

       serve others;

     ~ work continuously for change to empower the poor and

        powerless.  We develop relationships with those we seek to

       empower.

We are a parish with a rich history and a promising future.  As a growing parish of 1273 households, we value the unique gifts, talents and backgrounds of our parishioners. Our gathering for Eucharist each weekend is the highlight of our week and of who we are in Christ.  We extend an invitation to all who seek God to come and worship with us.
