Mass Moves to Matthews Hall

Mass Moves to Matthews Hall

Starting with daily Mass on Monday, January 30, Mass will be in Matthews Hall until the reconstruction is finished in the Spring 2012.

You may enter Matthews Hall through door #12 and go down the stairs. You may enter door #4 and take the elevator or stairs. You may enter door #7 and go down the stairs and hallway.

An additional entry will be available to Matthews Hall through door #15 located in the alley behind the church next to the garage and dumpster.  This entry has no stairs. Please leave the driveway available for handicap drop off and pick up.

Chairs will be set up in Matthews Hall facing the back wall where the temporary altar will be located. There will be a center aisle and 2 side aisles, the same as in church now. The flow of communion will be the same as in the church. The brides room in the hall behind the altar will serve as a sacristy. The handicap seating will be closest to the elevator and up front by the altar.

  • Missalettes will be in bookcases by each entrance to Matthews Hall. Everyone is asked to pick up a book and return it to the bookcase after Mass.
  • The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be in the Parish Library (at the end of the hall leading to Matthews Hall) and will be at the same time – Saturday from 4:30-5:00pm.
  • The Nursery will be closed due to renovation.
  • Children’s Liturgy of the Word will move to the St. Elizabeth room (in the lower level off the hallway to Matthews Hall).
  • The Adoration Chapel will also be closed at this time and will not reopen until further notice (Sometime in March or April).

Help Needed to setup Chairs for Mass

We will need a crew to set up chairs for Mass and then change back to tables as the need arises such as funeral luncheons or Generations of Faith. If you are interested in helping to set up Matthews Hall please call the parish office at 625-3131.
