Grades 1-5
Faith Formation (Grades 1–5)
At St. John’s, we believe that parents are the primary teachers of the faith. Our Faith Formation
program partners with families to help children grow in their relationship with Jesus and develop
a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith.
Using age-appropriate curriculum and The Catholic Children’s Bible, children explore Scripture,
learn Catholic teachings, and discover how to live their faith each day. Our dedicated staff and
volunteers walk alongside families throughout the year, offering support, formation
opportunities, and community connections.
Follow the Fun!
One of our mottos at St. John’s is “Follow the Fun!” We strive to create a welcoming
environment where children experience the joy of faith through engaging lessons, activities,
games, and hands-on learning. Our goal is to help children not only learn about Jesus but also
develop a desire to know and follow Him.
What Your Child Will Learn
• Grade 1: Reconciliation
• Grade 2: The Eucharist
• Grade 3: The Church and the Church Year
• Grades 4–5: Jesus’ life of service and discipleship
Together with our volunteer teachers and helpers, children dive into Bible stories, connect
Catholic teachings to everyday life, and are encouraged to put their faith into action.
Worship Together
Weekly Mass attendance is an important part of your child’s faith formation. Gathering as a
family to worship helps children build a lifelong relationship with Jesus and strengthens their
connection to the parish community.
Mass Times
• Saturday: 5:15 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM
Faith Formation classes are held on Sunday mornings at 8:50 AM, between the two Sunday
Masses, making it easy for families to participate in both Mass and formation.
Our Mission
“With the Holy Spirit pouring the love of God into our hearts, we invite people to Christ by
living like Christ through prayer, service, and learning.”
Everyone is invited and ALL are welcome to be a part of our Faith Formation program here at St. John’s.
